360 Integrative Treatment for MDD

After doing the tests, we consider this to ensure that patients receive precision treatment and supplements. Our 360 approach to treatment using only supplements that do not interact negatively with ongoing psychiatric drugs is innovative and produces faster results than a non-integrative method.

Many complex psychiatric conditions, such as maniac depression disorders (MDD), have poorly understood molecular origins. Recently, however, extensive research has identified several interrelated pathways contributing to MDD’s neurobiology. Let’s explore these pathways:

  1. Monoamines: Dysregulation of neurotransmitters like serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine plays a crucial role in MDD. Altered monoamine levels affect mood and emotion.

  2. Stress Response Pathways: Chronic stress activates the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, leading to increased cortisol release. Dysregulated HPA axis contributes to MDD.

  3. Neurotrophins: Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) influences neuronal survival, growth, and synaptic plasticity. Reduced BDNF levels are associated with MDD12.

  4. Excitatory and Inhibitory Neurotransmission: Imbalance between excitatory (glutamate) and inhibitory (GABA) neurotransmission affects mood regulation.

  5. Mitochondrial Dysfunction: Impaired mitochondrial function leads to oxidative stress and altered energy metabolism, contributing to MDD.

  6. Epigenetics: DNA methylation, histone modifications, and microRNAs influence gene expression patterns related to MDD.

  7. Inflammation: Neuroinflammation, involving cytokines and microglia activation, contributes to MDD pathogenesis.

  8. Opioid System: Dysregulation of endogenous opioids impacts mood and pain perception in MDD.

  9. Myelination: Altered myelin integrity affects neural communication and may play a role in MDD.

  10. Gut-Brain Axis: Emerging evidence suggests bidirectional communication between the gut microbiome and the brain, influencing mood and behavior.

Understanding these pathways holistically guides the development of more effective treatments for MDD, something that we strive to accomplish at 360 Wellness Hub.
